Sarah's visit to Munich

Here are some pictures of the castles that surround the Munich area...

NeuSchwanstein

This is perhaps the most famous of the 3 castles built by Ludwig II. It was built in the late 19th century, but never finished.

	Picture taken from the Marien Brücke. This is a bridge overlooking the castle that offers a great view of it. This was taken in early December 2003 - I was hoping for some snow, but got cloud inversion instead. I really like this photo so the linked picture is larger than usual.

This castle is right next door to NeuSchwanstein. It was built in 1832 by Maximilian II, father of Ludwig II.
